Create a Floral Set Up.
Alla Prima paintings are painted in 1 session, so I’ve kept the variation of flowers to 2 types, and the vase to a simple style. My goal is to capture the essence of the still life with a series of strokes and colors.
Shape, form and enjoyment of the
creative process is key.

1. I begin by blocking in some of the key features including vase, background, leaves, etc 2. Next I lay in a back ground with suitable colors that will feature the focal point. Often these colors are neutral to allow the colors to pop. 3. Green foliage are placed inside the vase.  |
